The meeting was an effort to streamline the replacement process to avoid unexpected hiccups, Gallatin County Commissioner Steve White said.

Replacing the bridge falls on the shoulders of the Montana Department of Transportation, but several government agencies were on hand to discuss the issue Wednesday, White said.

Represented in the room were the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, federal and state wildlife agencies and Gallatin County.
